In the summer of 1988, Taiji Matsue travelled to Andalusia, Spain, where he walked through the streets with his camera, capturing what he saw. The town he encountered was flooded with sunlight, revealing a place seemingly devoid of shadows. This journey played a pivotal role in the development of Matsues photographic style.
